Carmen in den USA

Hello, my name is Carmen.
I stayed in St. Louis, Missouri for 9 months. It was the best time I´ve ever had before. Luckly I really had a great hostfamily, who always helped me out if I had a problem. Sure, there are some times when you have issues with your family but that rarely occurs. I would have never thought that I can find friends so easily. I joined French club at school and during the winter I kept score for my school´s Wrestling team. That was great fun, and it helped me to get over my homesickness during the holidays. Sadly, at the end I ran out of time, I couldn´t believe how fast time was passing by and my year was already over. My english also changed a lot, at first the other students told me that I have an austrian accent, but now you can hardly hear that I´m from a different country.
High school life in the US is great. I had a locker on the hallway and after a while people started greeting me and I became known as "Austria". Everybody still calls me Austria when I write with my friends. It was a great time and I don´t want to miss it.
